The Coronavirus Experiment
Learn how experiences of a 19th Century Missionary in the Himalayan foothills can teach us in the 21st Century about how we function when COVID19 and Lockdowns disrupt our plans completely.

James Fraser, missionary in the Himalayan mountains during the late 1800's and early 1900's, was socially isolated from the people he was trying to reach by winter snowfalls, which prohibited him being able to visit and gather to explore the Gospel.

Faced with his own version of "Lockdown", Fraser asked himself this question,

“

What would happen if I decided to spend the time (that I would have spent gathering with these... people) praying for them instead?"

When he finally returned to see them after the snow had melted and the hills were finally passable, he discovered that this time of isolation and prayer had not been in vain.

Whilst Fraser had been praying, God had been working, and the results were amazing.

What people say...
“I was in a dark, lonely place for many years, and alcohol had destroyed my faith, hope and was destroying me and my family. In 2017 I found Oldhams Church and my relationship with Jesus. I haven't touched a drop of alcohol since. A true miracle from God”
