The Church of Jesus has an incredible resource in its people. Many of whom are gifted and sense a call to ministry, but need training and coaching to get started.

Antioch is a mentoring programme as well as a network of churches, in that we seek to train and equip as many church plant leaders as possible, including those who aren't part of our Network.

One way we do this is through REAP, our Church Plant Training Course,  but we also offer mentoring from ordained clergy to all our church plant leaders, as well as sharing helpful resources developed by us and others which help to train and equip leaders and their teams.

Why do we train leaders?      

"As you will have heard in our Stage 1 paper, the reason that we train leaders of church plants is that it makes a really big difference.   Church planting is tough, disappointments are all part of the package, and while we are all going to make mistakes, some of those mistakes will be costly, and we’d rather you and your church didn’t suffer more than you need to.     We’d also rather you enjoyed the journey, and that you saw as much fruit as possible.  

It’s true that God is very good and very powerful.     It’s true that the heart attitude is more important than the head.   Hence the E and A of REAP.     But training is connected to the heart.     One leader said he looked for people who were “FAT”.   Meaning that they were faithful, available and teachable..."
